According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Genevieve Springer is being held without bond on two counts of first-degree murder.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Genevieve Springer is being held without bond on two counts of first-degree murder.

Springer was arrested Saturday after her release from a Georgia hospital.

According to the sheriff's office, the boys' father told authorities he arrived at his ex-wife's home around 10 a.m. on Saturday on Gooseberry Road in Murphy to take custody of the children when he found their bodies.

The father said he last saw his boys alive on Feb. 26.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is still investigating how the children died.

The incident is also being investigated by the State Bureau of Investigation.

Cherokee County Sheriff Dustin D. Smith asked for prayers for the victims’ family, friends and all the first responders involved.
