Missing Southern Pines girl found safe

Authorities canceled an Amber Alert Wednesday evening for a 14-year-old Southern Pines girl who last seen leaving the National Guard Armory late Saturday.

Authorities canceled an Amber Alert Wednesday evening for a 14-year-old Southern Pines girl who last seen leaving the National Guard Armory late Saturday.

Gabriela Patricia Velazquez was found safe and unharmed in New Bern Wednesday evening, said Lt. Rodney Hardy, with the Southern Pines Police Department.

Her alleged abductor, Ciro Alonso Salinas, 21, hasn't been found, Hardy said.
