A cat that went missing from Kansas 10 years ago was found last month in Fuquay-Varina.

Bob the cat has had quite an adventure over the last couple of years.

Ten years ago, he disappeared from his home in Wichita, Kansas, and showed up on the porch of a Fuquay-Varina home last month.

The man who lives there fed Bob and took him to 5-Points Animal Hospital.

"She was actually stunned in the very beginning and the irony of this she named the cat after her dad Bob, and it would have been his 94th birthday on the day we emailed her," Scott Wilson, 5-points Animal Hospital Administrator said.

Veterinarian Kevin Wilson and hospital manager Scott Wilson were able to track down the owner, thanks to Bob's microchip.

"He's really looking pretty good he's a sweet big, happy guy so yeah he's well socialized he seems really, really healthy so he's been taking really good care of himself," Wilson said.

5-Point Animal Hospital is working to update his vaccines and get him a health certificate so he can travel back to his owner.
