North Carolina STEM Explorers is looking for host!

Season 2 of the show, which encourages middle school learners to explore STEM concepts like energy, water conservation, forces of flight, chemical reactions, robotics, engineering, airs across the state beginning in September.

Open auditions for student hosts will be held on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the WRAL-TV Studios located at 2619 Western Blvd. in Raleigh.

    Hi, I’m (insert your name). Welcome to North Carolina STEM Explorers. On today’s show we’ll explore physics using a fire extinguisher and roller skates. How cool is that? Then, we’ll talk with a real astronomer about the world’s biggest telescope. All this and more today on North Carolina STEM Explorers!

  3. Include the station call letters (WRAL) and your name in the subject line.

The selected student host(s) will shoot 26 episodes at various locations across the state in July, August, September, October and November 2023.

Each student host will receive a $5,000 scholarship through the North Carolina 529 Scholarship fund.
