The annual First Fruits Farm Memorial Balloon Festival has been rescheduled to next weekend due to weather concerns, organizers announced Tuesday.

This weekend's forecast looks wet, especially Saturday when there is a 70 percent chance of rain. Winds will also be gusty and up to 40 mph, WRAL meteorologist Peta Sheerwood said. The conditions are not ideal for hot air balloon flights, which are often grounded due to wind speeds.

The festival will take place June 3 and 4 at 2595 E. River Road in Louisburg. The event schedule will remain the same with hot air balloon flights, tethered rides, balloon glows, live music, carnival rides and more fun planned.

Tickets are $15 per person for those over 12 years old. Those ages 6 to 12 years are admitted for $5. Tickets can be purchased in advance online. Tickets can be purchased on site, but only cash will be accepted.

Parking is $15 per car. Cash will be accepted at the entrance each day.
