Mark your calendars: Project Enlightenment Foundation to sponsor talk on how early caregiver-child interactions shape development

The Project Enlightenment Foundation will host a talk this spring that focuses on how early caregiver-child interactions shape brain development and are critical to fostering social relationships, language, emotion and self-regulation later in life.

The April 26 talk will feature Dr. Betty Rintoul, a clinical psychologist for 40 years, who will talk about her training initiative, Encouraging Connections, among other topics.

The talk is part of the Peggy Hibbert Enlightenment Speaker Series, which honors Dr. Peggy Hibbert and her work supporting families with young children. The Project Enlightenment Foundation supports Project Enlightenment, Wake County Public School System's early childhood program. It's a fantastic resource for parents of young children. I highly recommend its programs and services.

The talk takes place at Hayes Barton United Methodist Church in Raleigh. Tickets are $10. The foundation's website has more information.
