Man wanted in shooting, attempted armed robberies

A 30-year-old Durham man is wanted on charges in connection with a shooting, home break-in and two attempted armed robberies.

A 30-year-old Durham man is wanted on charges in connection with a shooting, a home break-in and two attempted armed robberies.

Terry William Poole, 30, faces two counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count each of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and breaking-and-entering.

Investigators believe that Poole was one of four armed men who tried to rob employees leaving Domino's Pizza, 3001 Holloway St., on May 23, 2009. Shots were fired, injuring one person.

Poole is also accused of being one of two men who broke into a woman's house on Ashe Street on March 5. She ran out the back door, and the men fled.

He remains at large.

Poole's criminal record dates to 1996 and includes convictions for assault inflicting serious injury, assault and felony breaking-and-entering, according to state Department of Correction records.
