Man wanted in fatal Durham shooting apprehended in Atlanta

A man wanted in a fatal shooting outside a Durham gas station three months ago has been arrested in Atlanta, police said Monday.

Joel Bryan McDonald, 18, is charged with murder in the Aug. 15 shooting death of Robert Darrell Taylor Jr.

Taylor, 22, and an 18-year-old were shot outside a BP gasoline station in the 1300 block of Hill Street and University Drive.

McDonald was arrested Friday by officers from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Atlanta Police Department and the Fulton County (Ga.) Sheriff’s Office. He remains in the Fulton County jail without bond pending extradition.
