Man stabbed multiple times in Durham

Police in Durham were investigating a stabbing early Monday morning.

Officials said the stabbing occurred around 2 a.m. on N. Briggs Avenue near Holloway Street.

One man was stabbed multiple times and was seriously injured, police said. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police said the stabbing started as a verbal fight in the street.
