One charged with murder after shooting outside Sanford motel

Within 24 hours, police made an arrest in the shooting of a man outside Sanford's Prince Downtown Motel.

Dedrick Dewayne Lipscomb, 45, of Sanford, faces a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Marquas Sintrell Roseboro,

Roseboro was found in the motel parking lot with gunshot wounds, and he later died at Central Carolina Hospital.

Police did not say how they linked the two men.

Lipscomb was being held in the Lee County Jail without bond
