Third person arrested in connection to fatal shooting on Highline Street
A third person was arrested Monday in connection to a shooting on November 9 in Raleigh.
According to police, officers took a 17-year-old into custody and charged the juvenile murder in connection to a shooting on Highline Street in Raleigh on November 9.
22-year-old Isaiah Michael Anderson was killed in the shooting.
Ta'evon Andrew Wilkins, 18, and Kevin Lamar Bowser, 19, were both previously arrested and charged with felony murder and felony fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle in connection to Anderson's death.
Police responded to the 6000 block of Highline Street near Northridge Crossings Apartments on Calliope Way at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday after receiving reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers found Anderson suffering from gunshot wounds. Anderson was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
A funeral was held by Anderson's family on November 16. Anderson, a Raleigh native, was a student at Johnston C. Smith University in Charlotte.
A witness told WRAL News that they heard three to five shots fired and saw someone injured on the ground. They also saw a driver in a gray Audi leaving the neighborhood.
Bowser and Wilkins are currently being held at the Wake County Detention Center without bond.
According to police, the investigation is ongoing.
