Man shot at northeast Raleigh apartment

A man was shot early Friday morning at a northeast Raleigh apartment.

Around 1:50 a.m., officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to the 5900 block of Poyner Anchor Lane, inside the Village at Town Center apartment complex off Sumner Boulevard.

At the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to WakeMed with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is currently underway.
