Man sent to hospital after crash in Zebulon

A man was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries after the vehicle he was driving crashed on exit 435 along US 64 in Zebulon on Tuesday.

WRAL's Rosalia Fodera spoke with a member of the NC Highway Patrol who said a 24-year-old man, who has not been identified, was driving a white Volkswagen when it ran off the road and crashed into a tree while he was taking the exit. The man was airlifted to an unknown hospital with serious injuries.

No other vehicles were involved. Zebulon police and the NC Highway Patrol were on the scene investigating.
