Man receives life-threatening injuries in Southern Pines shooting

Southern Pines police are investigating a shooting in the 900 block of Iowa Avenue.

The shooting happened at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday.

Police said when the arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was airlifted to a regional trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

It is believed that the man and the shooter knew each other, according to police.
