Man killed in southern Wake County crash
A man was killed overnight in a crash in southern Wake County.
The crash occurred Tuesday around 12 a.m. near the intersection of Clayton Road and Cowboy Lane in Fuquay-Varina, close to Willow Spring High School.
An officer told WRAL News the car crashed between a house and a tree. The driver hit a ditch, went airborne then hit a tree. Speed may be a factor.
No one else was involved in the crash.
Investigators were at the scene for several hours.
A tow truck was used to remove the vehicle.
