Man Hurt in Harnett County Hunting Accident

A hunting accident sent a man to the hospital Friday morning.

Ben Averette took some bird-shots to the face near Chalybeate Springs Road, according to Sgt. Wilson with the Harnett County Sheriff's Office.

Averette, 74, was transported to WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries. He was listed in stable condition Friday afternoon.
