Man hospitalized after hit by car near Holloway Street in Durham

A man is in the hospital after being hit by a car Wednesday morning in Durham.

At 8:21 a.m., officers responded to a crash near the intersection of North Hyde Park Avenue and Holloway Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been struck by a vehicle. EMS responded and the male pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Holloway Street is closed between Spruce Street and Chester Street. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route.
