Man found dead on railroad tracks in Moore County

A man was found dead on the railroad tracks on Sunday, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Office.

On Sunday at 9:50 a.m., Moore County deputies were called to a remote area near the Lakeview community after a body was discovered on the train tracks.

Deputies determined that the man was 42-year-old Ashley Dale Spivey of Sanford.

His body has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy to determine cause of death.
