Man found dead behind Spring Lake apartment complex

Spring Lake police are investigating a man was found dead Saturday behind an apartment complex.

According to authorities, the unconscious man was found at about 2:30 p.m., near a fence and behind a building at 1302 King Street.

Investigators said the man, identified as Devonte Squan Tart, 24, of Dunn, was shot and then his body was moved to the vacant apartment complex..

Tart was pronounced dead at the scene.
