Man drowns in Roxboro lake
John Perry, of Person County, drowned Sunday afternoon while swimming in Mayo Lake in Roxboro, the sheriff's office there said.
John Perry, of Person County, drowned Sunday afternoon while swimming in Mayo Lake in Roxboro, the sheriff's office there said.
Perry, 36, went under and did not resurface, witnesses said. His body was later recovered from the lake.
The Person County Sheriff's Office has ruled Perry's death an accident.
