Man dies after shooting, stabbings at southeast Raleigh nightclub
One man died and two others were stabbed at a club in southeast Raleigh early Sunday morning. The shooting was one of several violent incidents that occurred overnight.
The Raleigh Police Department responded to Club 30+, located at 308 Rush St., around 1:30 a.m.
Police said one man was suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Dozens of people huddled outside the club were visibly upset, according to WRAL's photojournalist. Crime scene tape surrounded the club, and police were investigating.
The man died as a result of his injuries.
Raleigh police said two men walked in to WakeMed with non-life-threatening stab wounds a short time later. Police believe they were injured at the club.
On Facebook, Club 30+ is advertised as a dance club "where the grown folks party." The club is open until 3 a.m. on weekends, according to a sign on its door.
A second man died in a separate shooting that occurred at an apartment complex near North Carolina State University early Sunday morning.
