The man accused in a brutal assault that led to the death of Midwood Smokehouse’s general manager appeared in court on Tuesday morning.
Tyrell Moore, 23, is charged with murder, fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance.

Moore’s bond for the fleeing and possession charge is $50,000. He is due to appear in court again on Sept. 25.
On Saturday, Raleigh police arrest Moore. He is charged with the murder of David Millette.
Police said Millette died Friday, Sept. 1. According to police, Millette was assaulted at 2 a.m. on Aug. 26 in the 500 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Millette worked as the general manager at Midwood Smokehouse, which opened earlier this year.
