Man charged with first-degree murder of 45-year-old Durham woman
Officers responded to a homicide in the 5300 block of NC 55 Highway. A person of interest is in police custody at this time.
Durham police have person of interest in custody after homicide
A man was charged with the first-degree murder of a 45-year-old Durham woman.
Patrick Whitaker Jr., 56, of Durham, is charged with larceny and the first-degree murder of Jennifer Moore, 45, of Durham.
Durham police officers at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday responded to the homicide scene in the 5300 block of N.C. 55 Highway.
Whitaker was being held at the Durham County jail without bond.
Police say this is an isolated incident.
