Man charged in series of Durham armed robberies

Jaaron Marquis Meadows is charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of attempted armed robbery, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and a misdemeanor probation violation.

Durham police investigators have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man in connection with three robberies in April.

Police said Jaaron Meadows was wanted in connection to the:

  • April 28 armed robbery of the Boost Mobile at 4201 University Drive
  • April 24 armed robbery of Cricket Cellular at 3600 North Duke St.
  • April 20 attempted armed robbery of Cricket Cellular at 4725B Apex Highway, North Carolina Highway 55

Meadows is charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of attempted armed robbery, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and a misdemeanor probation violation. Authorities are holding Meadows in the Durham County Jail on a $26,500 bond.

Authorities believe Meadows was involved in several additional armed robberies of businesses in Durham and more charges are forthcoming.
