Man charged in Fayetteville sex assault

A Fayetteville man faces second-degree rape and sexual battery charges in connection with an Oct. 14 sexual assault, police said Wednesday.

Mica Champagne, 27, of Hewitt Drive, was arrested Oct. 31 and released on a $20,000 bond.

Police say Champagne met the victim at a party and assaulted her while she was physically unable to give consent.
