Man arrested in Lee County chase

Troopers arrested a man after a chase in Lee County on Saturday night.

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was there as a number of sheriff's deputies and troopers searched the area of NC Highway 42 and Highway 421.

Authorities said the man, Jeffrey Kinley, was intoxicated. The chase involved a white Toyota Avalon at first before Kinley took off on foot.

A helicopter and K-9s were used to help find Kinley. He was arrested and taken to the hospital before being taken to the Lee County Jail around 2 a.m.

The chase started around 10:30 p.m.

Kinley, 31, is now facing charges.
