Man arrested in Clinton woman's death

Police have charged a Clinton man with murder in connection with the death of  48-year-old Patrice Denise Lamb.

Police said Lamb's sister found her, dead in her Lisbon Street apartment on Sunday.

They arrested Rene Pinto Melendez, 40, of 219 B Ellen St., whom police said was an acquaintance of Lamb. Clinton Police Chief Mike Brim said Lamb's apartment was unlocked, and there was no sign of forced entry.

No additional information has been released. The investigation is ongoing.

Police haven't released details about how or when Lamb died.
