Man accused of recording up woman's skirt at Raleigh Target
Police have charged a man suspected of using a cellphone to record up a woman's skirt.
Pierre Ulysses Coley, 26, of 4604 Morning Glory Way, Rocky Mount, was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of secret peeping in connection with an Oct. 12 case that happened at a Target on Old Wake Forest Road in Raleigh.
Coley was jailed at the Wake County Detention Center under a $15,000 bond.
According to court records, Coley pleaded guilty last year to misdemeanor charges of secret peeping – a Wake County case from last year and a Nash County case in 2012 – and received 127 days in jail with credit for time served.
His name is not on North Carolina's sex offender registry, however, because a conviction on the charge does not automatically require it. A 2004 law, however, does allow a judge to require a defendant to register after two or more peeping convictions.
Raleigh police said tips received from media coverage helped investigators make an arrest in the case.
