Man, 45, charged with sexually assaulting 12-year-old

Moore County sheriff's deputies arrested a 45-year-old West End man Monday after the sexual assault of a 12-year-old child was reported.

Sheriff Lane Carter said the assault occurred outside Pinebluff.

Thomas Ronald Guarnieri, of 262 McDougal Drive, was charged with sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a minor.

Guarnieri was being held in the Moore County Detention Center Friday under a $60,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Oct. 5.
