Major crash causes delays on I-40 East at I-540 in Raleigh during morning commute

A major crash caused some serious delays on Interstate 40 East in Raleigh during the Friday morning commute.

The three left lanes were initially closed at Exit 283 (Interstate 540). Crews were able to open all of those lanes and clear the scene around 7:30 a.m.

Sky 5 flew over the scene, where at least two cars were seen being towed away.
