Hamilton kicks off upcoming DPAC Broadway season

It sounds too good to be true, but fans have a chance at $10 Hamilton tickets starting Sunday.

DPAC announced last month a digital lottery that will begin on Nov. 4 prior to the musical's first performance at the Durham venue. Forty tickets, priced at $10 each, will be sold for every Hamilton performance at DPAC.

The digital lotteries will begin at 11 a.m. two days prior to each performance (so Nov. 4 for the Nov. 6 show) and end at 9 a.m. the day before the show. No purchase or payment is required to participate in the lottery -- it's just for fun.

The rules include:

  • Only two tickets may be purchase by each winning entrant
  • Only one entry per person

Ready to enter? Starting Nov. 4, Hamilton fans can use the Hamilton app or the lottery website to enter.

The 40 winners will be notified at 11 a.m. the day before the performance by text or email. Tickets must be purchased online with a credit card via the link provided once the winner is notified.

Tickets not claimed by 4 p.m. the day before the performance are forfeited.

The price of these tickets is drastically different from ticket prices in August, which ranged from from $78 to $188.

"Hamilton" plays DPAC Nov. 6 through Dec. 2.
