A Durham secondhand store had to be evacuated Saturday after a volunteer found a live grenade inside a donated dresser.

It happened at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Durham. Store employees posted on Facebook describing the situation, saying a volunteer found it, took it outside the building and alerted management. Durham police then evacuated the building and took care of the grenade.

ReStore employees asked people to check the drawers before donating furniture to make sure there's not anything dangerous inside.
