Lillington boy killed while riding bike

An 8-year-old Lillington boy died Monday, a day after a vehicle hit him while he was riding his bike, police said.

Tyquaves Morris was riding his bike near the intersection of Canary Street and McKay Avenue in Dunn when he was hit shortly before 3:30 p.m., police said. He was taken to Betsy Johnson Hospital, where he died.

No other details were released, but police said the case remains under investigation.
