Lightning strikes on Friday sparked multiple fires at Wake County homes.
Before 7:45 a.m., firefighters responded to a townhome 245 Misty Pike Drive, where flames were shooting through the roof.
The neighborhood, The Villages at McCullers Walk, has a Raleigh mailing address and is located near Garner and Fuquay-Varina near Ten Ten Road and U.S. Highway 401.
WRAL News learned the homeowners got outside safely, and no one was injured.
A neighbor told WRAL reporter Nia Harden she heard a loud sound.
In Fuquay-Varina, firefighters responded to a home on Jakes View Point.
The family told WRAL crews everyone got out safely after lighting started a fire in the attic. One of their children was sleeping inside when it happened.
