Life and Science Museum marks pollinator week
At The Garden, a sustainable demonstration garden, visitors can see how real pollinators help plants to grow.
The Museum of Life and Science in Durham will mark National Pollinator Week with special activities from June 21 to June 24.
At The Garden, a sustainable demonstration garden, visitors can see how real pollinators help plants to grow. Educators and local scientists will be on hand to talk about the role animals play in the survival of plants and people and answer questions.
The programs are 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., each day. It's free with admission, which is $13 for kids ages 3 to 12 and $18 for general admission. (That admission gets you access to the entire 84-acre museum, including Hideaway Woods, the butterfly house and Into the Mist).
