A large fire that started at an auto salvage business Sunday night was still burning Monday morning.

WITN News reports the fire broke out around 9 p.m. Sunday at Mario’s Used Auto Parts, just off U.S. 117 south of Warsaw.

Duplin County Emergency Management reported a large number of cars on fire inside. There was also a fire in the adjacent woods.

A portion of Highway 117 was temporarily closed.
