LaGrange woman killed in wreck

A 25-year-old LaGrange woman died in a single-vehicle wreck on Salem Church Road in Goldsboro Tuesday evening, police said.

Anecia Neal was a passenger in a 2001 Acura driven by Michael Kevin McGee, of LaGrange.

Police said that McGee was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle. It struck a utility pole and finally came to rest in a dense, wooded area.

Neal was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where she died of her injuries.

The investigation into the wreck was ongoing.
