La Farm Bakery continues to grow
Those traveling through Raleigh-Durham International Airport have a new option for local treats when La Farm Bakery + Cafe opens in Terminal 2.
Since its start in Cary in 1999, La Farm and baker Lionel Vatinet have expanded to three locations and a State Farmer's Market stand. The airport location was announced in January 2021 and opened just in time for the crush of traffic expected for the Fourth of July weekend.
With a steam-injection MiWi hearth oven on-site, the airport location will serve up fresh-baked breads and pastries, a cafe menu and a full-service bar.
La Farm has been named among the "10 Best Artisanal Bakeries in North America” by USA Today and earned numerous WRAL Voters' Choice Awards for best local bakery.
