Award-winning bakery La Farm has opened a pop-up bakery in Fuquay-Varina.

The retail bakery, located at 1900 Broad St., will be open for three months and include counter service and outdoor seating. The menu will include co-owner and Master Baker Lionel Vatinet’s European artisan breads including sourdough, white chocolate baguettes, scones, pastries, a full Counter Culture Coffee program and to-go sandwiches.

The shop will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“One of the silver linings of the pandemic has been serving communities closer to their home through our neighborhood bread truck program, and this pop up has come as a natural extension of this,” co-owner Missy Vatinet said. “Before this property is developed, we’re pleased to have an opportunity this winter and spring to bring La Farm closer to our Holly Springs/Fuquay-Varina community on a daily basis before the building is removed.”

La Farm's Neighborhood Bread Truck Program launched after the pandemic started and has included delivery of freshly baked bread to customers every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Virtual baking classes have also been introduced.

La Farm Bakery opened its flagship location in Cary's Preston Corners in 1999. The bakery also has locations at 220 W. Chatham St., and a location inside of the Whole Foods Market on 5055 Arco St.

La Farm has won numerous WRAL Voters' Choice Awards for best local bakery.
