The Kidz Bop World Tour will stop at Coastal Credit Union Music Park on Aug. 2 for a concert that's sure to draw hundreds of very excited kiddos.

And some of those kids may also want to take advantage of an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes view of what it takes to be a Kidz Bop performer.

Kidz Bop also is hosting a Kidz Bop Workshop from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Aug. 2, on the same day as the show.  (For the uninitiated, Kidz Bop is a children's performance group that sings sanitized versions of popular songs.)

Here's what a press release says about the workshop: "At the brand-new workshop - taught by official Kidz Bop choreographers and vocal coaches, kids ages 6-12 will learn moves from the Kidz Bop live show and their latest music videos, and learn vocal techniques using popular Kidz Bop songs. At the end of the day, the young performers will have the opportunity to film a video showing off their best choreography alongside The Kidz Bop Kids."

The workshop takes place at Traine, 121 Seaboard Ave., Raleigh. Tickets aren't inexpensive. They're $115 plus another $9.20 in fees. More information is on the Kidz Bop website.

Tickets are still available for the show. They start at $35.
