Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris will join 1st District Congressman G.K. Butterfield and 12th District Congresswoman Alma Adams on Friday in a live virtual event, part of the Turn Up and Turn Out virtual tour.

The campaign event begins at 5:45 p.m. and you can join from anywhere.

The tour is the Democratic ticket's answer to coronavirus restrictions on widespread travel and large, packed events. It begins on Friday, National Black Voter Day, with the North Carolina "stop."

Through Oct. 1, Harris and her running mate, presidential candidate Joe Biden, are making virtual "stops" in battleground states to interact with voters and push voter registration.

That stands in contrast to the in-person, mostly unmasked events that President Donald Trump has been having. His next North Carolina appearance is scheduled for Saturday night in Fayetteville.
