Vice President Kamala Harris will campaign in Charlotte on Thursday.

Her visit comes just over a week after Harris and President Joe Biden spoke about health care and woman's reproductive rights in a rare joint visit to Raleigh.

According to the White House, Harris will use Thursday's visit to discuss the Biden-Harris Administration’s work to tackle the climate crisis and fight for environmental justice.

Michael Regan, advisor for the Environmental Protection Agency, will join Harris in the Queen City.

A time and location for the vice president's remarks was not announced.

The Charlotte visit marks Harris' fourth visit to North Carolina this year and her 12th visit since being sworn in.

Prior to her April 26 visit to Raleigh, Harris visited Durham to discuss entrepreneurship and support for small businesses.

She was in Charlotte earlier in the year to announce $285 million in funding to help schools hire and train counselors.

North Carolina is a key battleground state, and Biden is working to gain voters' support.

Donald Trump has a five-point lead, 50% to 45%, among likely voters in North Carolina, a WRAL News poll shows.
