Jury selection difficult in Army general's sex case

At least four jurors have been dismissed for the upcoming court martial of an Army general facing sexual misconduct charges because they know a potential witness in the case.

A minimum of five jurors are needed for the Sept. 30 trial of Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair.

Sinclair has pleaded not guilty to eight charges that include forcible sodomy, indecent acts, violating orders and adultery.

The process is complicated because, under the military justice system, the guilt or innocence of a soldier is determined by those of superior rank. In Sinclair's case, that means a jury of lieutenant generals and major generals.
