Johnston County man held under $2M bond in rape of child

A Johnston County man was being held under $2 million bond after authorities said he raped a child.

Almicar Rodriguez-Molina, 31, of Middlesex, was charged with statutory rape and taking indecent liberties with a child.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, the child was under 13 years of age at the time of the incident.

If Rodriguez is released on bond, he is forbidden from having contact with the victim.
