Two Johnston County firefighters are home from the hospital after getting injured when a fire truck overturned while responding to a call.
The Corinth-Holders Volunteer Fire Department truck was responding to a house fire in Zebulon on Monday night.
The incident happened on North Carolina Highway 96, near North Carolina Highway 231.
Officials said the fire truck flipped once or twice.
A passenger and driver were taken to WakeMed Hospital. The department's Facebook page posted that the driver was released from the hospital around 3 a.m., putting both firefighters back at home.
The road was closed as law enforcement investigated.
