Legendary singer-songwriter James Taylor will play PNC Arena this summer, the venue announced Friday.

Taylor and his All-Star Band have a series of shows in Canada starting in April. In June, the tour moves to the United States with shows in South Carolina and Tennessee before stopping in Charlotte on June 24 and in Raleigh on June 25.

Tickets for the shows go on sale March 25 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame honoree, Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums since he was first signed by The Beatles to their Apple Records label. The Grammy Award winner is also a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Taylor was born in Boston but was raised in Chapel Hill. There is a bridge named in his honor there.
