Saturday was the final day of the Hopscotch Music Festival in downtown Raleigh.

Over 100 performers took part in the three-day event around downtown.

People came out to celebrate the festival despite the rain conditions that bogged down most of Raleigh in the afternoon.

“It’s a marathon, but it’s always a good time,” said Walt Lilly, an attendee of the music festival.

Kelly Swanson, who said it was her first time at the festival, said the rain made it more worthwhile.

“It was amazing, it was magical,” Swanson said. “It was so great seeing one of my favorite bands in the rain. I felt like I was having apparently like a Taylor Swift moment, whenever she played in the rain.”

Some concert-goers were not thrilled about standing in the rain and opted to check out other venues in the area.

“We watched the rain for a bar,” said Jimbo Fisher. “It was all good for me, I’m pretty dry.”

A three-day marathon of concerts can be exhausting, but Swanson and other attendees said the best thing to do is to come prepared.

“Making sure that you’re out here hydrated and having a good time,” Swanson said. “Handing around good people and just be ready to hear some good music.”

The final performance of the festival is set to go on at 1 a.m. Sunday.
