Irregardless named one of the best vegetarian restaurants in America

Irregardless Cafe and Catering has earned top honors again for its vegetarian cuisine.

OpenTable Diners named the Raleigh restaurant one of America's 52 "Best Restaurants for Vegetarians." The results were determined by more than five million reviews submitted by the website's verified diners over the past year.

"We are honored and pleased that our 40 year approach and unique interpretations have been recognized by vegetarians on OpenTable," owner Arthur Gordon said. "Irregardless is a place where the 'lion and the lamb' can eat together."

The cafe started as a vegetarian and vegan restaurant in 1975. Seven years later, proteins were added to the menu. Now, Irregardless is a farm-to-table restaurant featuring delicious sides with proteins and truly innovative vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals. 

Earlier this year, Irregardless won WRAL Out and About Voters' Choice Awards for best gluten-free options and best vegetarian cuisine.
