Injuries reported after boat crashes into Lake Auman dam

Multiple people were injured Friday night when a small boat crashed into a dam at a lake in Moore County.

Around 10:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a crash at Lake Auman, an 800-acre private lake that is part of the Seven Lakes West communities.

Officials say the small boat crashed into the lake's dam before leaving the water and coming to a stop on top of the dam.

According to emergency officials, multiple people were transported to Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Investigators are working to learn what caused the crash.
