Industrial washer catches fire at Shearon Harris; no injuries reported

Emergency crews quickly extinguished a fire Wednesday morning in a building at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant in Wake County, officials said.

An industrial washer in a building well outside the plant's reactor and turbine buildings caught fire at about 5 a.m.

No injuries were reported, and there were no evacuations.
